In the late afternoon of September 15, 2024, I heard that Mr. Emmanuely D Lyimo, Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Manager and a great colleague of mine at Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB), has lost his life in a traffic accident in Dar es Salaam.

Since he joined TADB in 2020, Emmanualy has contributed a lot as a great communicator in charge of the relationship management with donors and other external sources. His great personality to cheer up the team even in the most difficult situations will never be forgotten. He was also such a friendly and charming person, who always walked into my office for chatting over coffee and snacks I brought from Japan.

I still cannot believe we said a temporary goodbye just 6 months ago, promising to work together again in the near future... R.I.P. Emmanuely, one of my best friends in Tanzania. I will never forget your enthusiasm, hospitality & friendship.
